 Engr. Yusuf hails from Oyo State and had his primary education in Ibadan. He attended the prestigious Federal Government Academy; Suleja (centre for gifted and talented).His first degree was from Federal University of Technology, Akure with a final year project on "Design and Construction of an Onion Storage Structure". He graduated with a first class (hons) and then advanced to a master’s degree with a thesis title "Historical Changes and Variability in Drought Episodes and Their Implications on Agriculture and Water Management in Nigeria". He finished with distinction. He is presently a lecturer II and PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia, Canada; with areas of interest in soil physics, modelling of hydrological processes (e.g. infiltration, runoff and evaporation), agro-meteorology, remote sensing and gis in environmental monitoring and eco-hydrological studies
