 Dr Jongbo, Ayoola Olawole is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. He attended St Paul’s C.A.C. primary school, Itaogbolu, Ondo state from 1984 to 1989 after which he proceeded to Anglican Grammar School, Iju/ Itaogbolu in the year 1990 where he sat for his first SSCE examination in 1995. He later went to St Thomas’s Anglican Comprehensive High School, Akure (STACHSA) from 1996 to 1998 but could not obtain enough credit to qualify him for university admission. In the year 1999, he was admitted into Alamo Grammar School, Itaogbolu where he obtained seven distinctions and two credit in 2000. In the same year 2000, he was offered an admission to study Agricultural Engineering at Federal College of Agriculture, Akure where he obtained a National Diploma (ND) with Distinction in Agricultural Engineering in the year 2002. He progressed to the Federal University of Technology, Akure in the year 2003 and graduated in 2007 with a First Class (Hons) in Agricultural Engineering. He got an admission into the Federal University of Technology, Akure in 2009/ 2010 academic session to pursue a master’s degree programme in Agricultural Engineering (Farm Structures and Environment option) and completed the programme in 2012 with Distinction. In the year 2014, he gained admission into Harper Adams University, United Kingdom to pursue Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Engineering (Animal Environment option) and the programme was concluded in 2018. Dr Jongbo has won many awards namely; Second best presentation prize for the advancement in the precision livestock farming, CIHEAM, Zaragoza, Spain (2015); Tertiary Education Trust Fund Intervention, Nigeria (2013); Best Graduating Student, Department of Agricultural Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria (2007); Prince Adegbule – Adesida Memorial Prize for the best graduating student in the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria (2007); Ondo State Government annual scholarship award for academic excellence (2004 – 2007); Senate annual prize for First Class students, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria (2006); Overall best graduating student, Federal College of Agriculture, Akure, Nigeria (2002). Dr Jongbo belongs to various professional bodies such as the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers (NIAE). He has attended conferences, seminars and technical sessions. He has been invited by various organisations for presentations such as (1) The Nigerian Society of Engineers, Akure Branch, Ondo State, Nigeria; (2) Deeper Life Campus Fellowship, FUTA Chapter, Ondo State, Nigeria; (3) Federal College of Agriculture, Akure (FECA), Ondo State, Nigeria. He’s a motivator, motivating both young and old. He’s main goal is to see everyone he meets successful in life. He’s a gentle, simple and dedicated young man. Dr Jongbo is married with a handsome son.
